Writing Personal Statements for College Applications with Drexel University
FreeVirtual Event
Students working on college applications can get support with one of the most important parts of the process: the personal statement.
As part of College Awareness Month, Drexel University will host a Writing Personal Statements for Your College Applications workshop on October 1. The session is designed to help students choose a strong essay topic and develop a personal statement that helps colleges get to know them beyond the rest of their application.
During the workshop, students will explore common college essay prompts and think more deeply about the story they want to tell. Participants will also have opportunities to share ideas, edit, analyze, and revise their writing with others.
Students who have already started their college essay are encouraged to bring a draft.
The workshop will be facilitated by Professor Dan Pieccoli, an English professor and Co Director of the University Writing Program at Drexel University.
