“Fostering College Readiness in Youth Experiencing Foster/Kinship Care” Program Info Session

Register to attend a virtual information session on the Fostering College Readiness program, an initiative of the Philadelphia Education Fund and the Brook J. Lenfest Foundation.
The 100% cost-free program offers one-on-one college and financial aid programming, exclusive scholarship access, and direct pipelines to on-campus supports for Philadelphia high school juniors and seniors experiencing foster/kinship care.
Participating colleges:
• Pennsylvania College of Technology
• Penn State, University Park
• West Chester University
• Harcum College/I-LEAD community sites
Information sessions for adult supporters of youth experiencing foster/kinship care including school counselors, social workers, case managers, foster parents, or other education leaders will be offered on:
• Friday, October 8 from 9-9:30 am
• Tuesday, October 12 from 12:30-1 pm
• Wednesday, October 13 from 3-3:30 pm
After the information session, there will be an opportunity to discuss options for in-person school visits this fall to assist system-involved youth with the process of applying to college and for the federal, state, and institutional financial aid to which they are entitled.
