Free Library of Philadelphia After-School LEAP Program
DescriptionAs one of Philadelphia’s longest-running out-of-school time programs, the Literacy Enrichment After-School Program (LEAP) provides free homework assistance, leads hands-on STEAM and humanities programs, and promotes a love of reading at libraries throughout the city. LEAP fosters an inclusive, informal learning environment for children, teens, families, and caregivers, with accessible recreational activities that build on life skills, career exploration, Maker philosophies, and mindful social-emotional development. Under the mentorship of neighborhood librarians and trained staff, LEAP creates safe spaces for youth to explore their interests!
This program is offered during the school year at no cost, and there is no registration required to participate. Contact your local library to learn about their activities and services offered.
