Background: The Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of one of America’s greatest leaders. This scholarship celebrates Frederick Douglass’ fight for freedom, education, and equality by supporting students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Each year, this program provides significant financial support to students who excel in school, serve their community, and demonstrate strong character. It is managed by UNCF and will continue through the 2038-39 school year.
Eligibility:
🎓 Rising senior at a 4-year HBCU
📊 Minimum 3.5 GPA
🤝 Commitment to community service
💸 Demonstrated financial need (verified by school)
📝 Completed FAFSA
