$2,500 Scholarship for BIPOC Students Studying Music, Due: 7/1
Background: Grammy-winning producer Kelvin Wooten created this scholarship to help underrepresented students chase their dreams in the music industry. After years of working with famous artists, Kelvin started WoodaWorx in Huntsville, Alabama, to give new and unknown musicians a place to create and share their sound. In 2019, he expanded by selling music samples to help others make the music they believe should exist. This scholarship gives BIPOC students a chance to share their passion for music and explain why the arts matter to culture.
