Background: The American Indian Medical Scholarship helps Native American, Alaskan Native, and Hawaiian Native students go to school for healthcare jobs. It started in the 1930s to help students become nurses, doctors, or health educators. The goal is to help Native communities have better healthcare. If you want to work in hospitals or on reservations and help your community, this scholarship can help you pay for school.
Eligibility:
🪶 Must be enrolled in a tribe or show proof of tribal ancestry
❤️🩹 Must be focused on a healthcare career serving Native communities
💸 Must need financial help
🎓 Must be a high school graduate or graduating soon
🏫 Must be in an accredited school
🩺 Must be in a healthcare or health education program
📅 Must graduate in 2–4 years depending on degree
📚 Must have good grades
🧑🏫 Must be recommended by a teacher, counselor, or school official
