Background: The Helen Gee Chin Scholarship Foundation was established in 2011 to honor Sifu Calvin Chin’s late wife, who was deeply involved in their martial arts academy. The foundation aims to transform tragedy into opportunity by awarding scholarships to students who excel in Chinese martial arts and academics.
Eligibility:
🇺🇸 U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
🥋 Five or more years of study in Chinese Martial Arts
📚 “B” average grade or better
🎓 Enrollment in an accredited U.S. four-year college or university
Requirements:
📝 An essay on the significance of martial arts study to the applicant
