$2,500 Concerto Competition, Due: 11/15
Background: Do you love playing music? The U.S. Marine Band and Marine Corps Heritage Foundation are inviting high school musicians to enter their 2027 Concerto Competition! This is a great opportunity to share your musical talent, gain performance experience, and earn money for your education!
Eligibility:
🎓 Enrolled in grades 9–12 during the 2026–2027 school year.
🎺 Play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.
🇺🇸 Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
🚫 Previous competition winners and immediate family members of current or former U.S. Marine Band members cannot apply.
Note: String, piano, and harp players are not eligible for the 2027 competition. Their next opportunity will be in 2028. For eligible woodwind, brass, and percussion players, the next competition after 2027 will be in 2029.
Requirements:
🎼 Choose a piece: Select one work from the official repertoire list.
🎥 Record your performance: Submit an unedited YouTube video of your performance with piano, band, or orchestra accompaniment.
🔗 Share your video: Include the YouTube link in your application. Videos may be unlisted, and you do not have to appear on camera.
🎹 Consider live accompaniment: Judges strongly encourage applicants to use a live accompanist.
📝 Complete the application: Submit all required information through the online application form.
