$3,000 Ruby L. Bailey Scholarship, Due: 10/14
Background: The Ruby L. Bailey Scholarship is helping HBCU students take the next step toward their college dreams! This scholarship provides $3,000 to one student who attends a UNCF member school or an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
Eligibility:
🎓 Must be a full-time student at a UNCF member school or accredited HBCU.
📚 Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
📝 Must complete a current FAFSA.
💵 Must have unmet financial need confirmed by the school’s financial aid office.
Requirements:
💻 Complete and submit the online application through UNCF’s scholarship portal.
✍️ Submit a one-page personal statement about personal challenges, community service, career goals, and the importance of education.
💌 Upload one recommendation letter from someone who is not a family member. The letter must be on official letterhead. Emailed letters are not accepted.
📄 Upload a recent academic transcript showing the student’s name and cumulative GPA.
