Background: The Tia Lukeya Woods from Books Pages to Boarding Passes Scholarship honors a woman who believed learning could happen anywhere — in books, classrooms, conversations, and through traveling the world. Tia loved education, culture, and exploring new places, and she encouraged others to stay curious and keep growing. This scholarship supports HBCU students who are passionate about learning, personal growth, and experiencing the world in meaningful ways.
Eligibility:
🎓 Must be an undergraduate student attending an HBCU
📚 Must have at least a 2.5 GPA
💸 Must demonstrate financial need
🌎 Preference given to students facing educational or experiential barriers
✨ Students with curiosity, strong perspectives, and a passion for learning are encouraged to apply
Requirements:
✍️ Respond to one of the essay prompts listed in the application
🎨 Creativity is encouraged through storytelling, visuals, or other formats
📸 Optional supplementary materials may be submitted
