$2,000 Scholarship for Future Black Vets, Due: 4/15

Background: The Charles Shelton Foundation offers scholarships to support Black students who want to work in veterinary medicine. This program helps students who care about animals and want to make a difference in science and healthcare. It encourages future leaders to think deeply about ethical issues in veterinary research and grow their knowledge. This is a great chance to earn money for school while sharing your ideas and experiences in the field.


Eligibility:
πŸŽ“ Minimum 3.0 GPA
πŸ“„ Must provide official transcript
πŸ§‘πŸΎβ€πŸŽ“ Black/African-American high school senior, college student, or returning student
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Must be a legal U.S. resident
πŸ“ Must live in the U.S. or D.C.

Requirements:
πŸ“ Complete scholarship application form
πŸ‘©β€πŸ« Submit two professional references (one STEM professor required)
🐾 Show experience in veterinary medicine/technology
🏫 Provide proof of full-time enrollment
✍️ Write essay (500–750 words for HS / 1500 words for college students)
