Background: The Charles Shelton Foundation offers scholarships to support Black students who want to work in veterinary medicine. Eligibility:
🎓 Minimum 3.0 GPA
📄 Must provide official transcript
🧑🏾🎓 Black/African-American high school senior, college student, or returning student
🇺🇸 Must be a legal U.S. resident
📍 Must live in the U.S. or D.C.
Requirements:
📝 Complete scholarship application form
👩🏫 Submit two professional references (one STEM professor required)
🐾 Show experience in veterinary medicine/technology
🏫 Provide proof of full-time enrollment
✍️ Write essay (500–750 words for HS / 1500 words for college students)
📄 Submit resume with achievements and activities
