Background: The Joshua David Gardner Memorial Scholarship was created in 2006 to help students reach their college dreams. It supports students who attend historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and are working toward a bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility:
🎓 U.S. citizen (ages 17–25)
🏫 Admitted to or enrolled in a 4-year accredited HBCU
📘 Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
⏰ Full-time undergraduate student
📜 Seeking a bachelor’s degree

✍🏽 500-word essay on political & social change
📬 Three letters of recommendation (one academic)
