Free Prologue to Bates College for First-Gen/Low-Income Students, Due: 8/8
Background: Prologue to Bates is a free college visit just for high school seniors who are the first in their families to go to college or come from low-income backgrounds. Bates College wants to welcome students from all walks of life, and this special visit helps you see what it’s like to learn, live, and thrive at Bates. The program includes meals, travel, and a stay on campus — all paid for! You’ll attend real classes, eat in the dining hall, stay overnight with a current student, and explore Lewiston, Maine.
Eligibility:
📚 A rising senior (Class of 2026)
🇺🇸 Living in the U.S. (including undocumented or DACA students)
👨👩👧👦 A first-generation college student (no parent/guardian has a 4-year degree)
💰 From a low-income family
