Background:
✅ The Pat Tillman Foundation supports outstanding military members, veterans, and spouses through academic scholarships, leadership development, and a global community. Tillman Scholars receive an average scholarship of $10,000 per academic year, fostering their educational and leadership goals.
Eligibility:
🎖️ Veterans & active duty from all U.S. military branches, incl. National Guard
👩❤️👨 Spouses of veterans/active service members, incl. surviving spouses
📚 Full-time students pursuing degrees at 4-year colleges/universities in upcoming Fall/Spring
Scholarship Amount:
💸 up to $10,000/year
Required Materials:
📄 Current resume
📝 Two 400-word essay questions
👤 Character recommendation (not a letter) from third party
💬 Third party answers specific questions via application tool
📝 250-word biography
💰 Completed FAFSA and financial worksheet (current budget, all expenses, incomes, military benefits)
📄 Completed Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA
📸 Two photos from military service or with military spouse
🔍 Proof of Military Service: DD 214 (Member 4 preferred), Officer Record Brief, Enlistment Record Brief, etc.
🕵️♂️ Permission for PTF to complete background check
