$40k Lockheed Martin Scholarship for Students in STEM, Due: 4/1

Background: Lockheed Martin offers scholarships for students in STEM fields who have financial need and come from underrepresented backgrounds. In 2024, they are providing 100 renewable scholarships worth $10,000 each for full-time study at any accredited U.S. college. The scholarship can be renewed up to three times, potentially totaling $40,000 per student.


Eligibility:

🇺🇸 U.S. citizen
💰 Demonstrated financial need
🎓 GPA of 2.5 or higher
🏫 High school senior or college freshman/sophomore
📚 Current or planned enrollment in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering (qualifying majors listed in application)
🎓 Current or planned full-time attendance at accredited U.S. four-year college/university
🌟 Additional consideration for applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups in STEM careers

Scholarship Amount: 

💸 100 renewable scholarships of $10,000 

Required Materials: 

📜 Current, complete transcript of grades (displaying student name, school name, grades, and credit hours for each course and term)
📄 Copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040 for Financial Information section of the application

Optional:

📊 SAT or ACT test score report(s) if not listed on high school transcript
