$2,000 NSHSS Student Athlete Scholarship Due 10/27

Background: NSHSS is awarding ten $2,000 scholarships to help student-athletes who are passionate about and excel within their respective sports. Athletes of all genders and of all sports are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to rising high school students graduating in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027, and recently graduated 2023 seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Application Requirements: There are a few application requirements including a recommendation from an educator, a colored headshot suitable for the web, a 500-800 word essay following the prompt listed, an academic resume, a current transcript, and pictures/videos/media showing your leadership in action (optional).

Prompt for 500-800 word essay submission:
✍️What are the benefits and challenges of balancing your academics with your sport participation? What is it about your sport that makes you passionate? Please provide one example that help to illustrate your point.
