
$1,000 Scholarship for First Gen Female Students, Due 10/15
Background: This scholarship seeks to honor Sharen and Mila Kohute by supporting first-generation female students who are committed to pursuing higher education. Mila Kohute passed away at 7 months old to Sudden unexpected infant death (SUID), and Sharen Kohute (Penn State Grammy) lost her battle against cancer a day before her 70th birthday. The scholarship represents the power of Mila’s untapped potential and Sharen’s dedication to hard work as a means to empower 1st generation female students.
Eligibility:
☑️ First Gen female high school senior or undergraduate students
☑️ Student must live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Virginia
How to Apply: Students are asked to submit an essay discussing someone who has impacted their life by helping them discover their full potential.
