Philadelphia Academies: FREE Philly Tech Gateway After School Program
Philadelphia Academies, Inc. has created a program to help students in West Philly and surrounding zip codes learn how to code, create websites, and gain industry insight on what it takes to start your career in tech. Applications for the fall program are currently open.
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Learn how to build websites and code with HTML led by Coded By Kids
- Go through a financial literacy curriculum with UPenn students
- Complete a curriculum with Drexel’ University’s Goodwin College and have an opportunity to earn college credits
- Complete mini-projects learning Python
- Build their work portfolio to prepare for college (Resume, LinkedIn, Headshots, etc)
Eligibility Requirements:
✅ Currently enrolled in 11th or 12th grade
✅ Must reside in a West Philadelphia zip code (19104, 19131, 19139, 19143, 19151) or surrounding zip codes
✅ Interest in Technology, Graphic Design, Art, or Business
