$1,000 Miguel Mendez Social Justice Scholarship Due 9/16

Miguel Mendez was a first-generation college graduate, born and raised in Colorado. It was his life’s duty to ensure that the next generation has the necessary tools to achieve their goals too. To honor his memory, the Miguel Mendez Social Justice Scholarship will support undergraduate students pursuing a career in social justice.

Background:  This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Miguel Mendez by supporting students in their social justice career journey.

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to undergraduate, first-generation college students from low-income backgrounds  with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the September 16th deadline. To apply, students are asked to submit a video or writtern essay explaining what they working to address an important issue. See the guidelines here. Be sure to review the guidelines before you begin submitting your essay!
