$2,000 Mohamed Magdi Taha Memorial STEM Scholarship Due 8/15

Mohamed Magdi Taha was a brilliant computer science student at MIT with a passion for Sudan and poetry. He was brave, compassionate, and always stood up for what was right. He is survived by his family and friends. This scholarship was created to honor his life.

Background:  This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Mohamed Magdi Taha by supporting students who possess similar qualities and are also ‘up-standers’ in their communities. Learn more about Mohamed here.

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to any Black undergraduate students who are interested in studying STEM or the arts may apply for this scholarship but preference will be given to students from Sudan.

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the August 1st deadline. To apply, students are asked to write a 400-600 word essay on the prompt provided.
