$5,000 John Lepping Scholarship for NY, NJ, or PA Students with Disabilities Due 5/1

Background: The John Lepping Memorial Scholarship, offered by the Lep Foundation for Youth Education, aims to help lower the costs of college for disabled individuals who may have overwhelming medical costs. The amount of the scholarship is up to $5,000.

Eligibility:
• Must be a permanent resident of New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania
• Must demonstrate academic achievement through evidence of working to one’s potential
• Must be accepted for admission at an institution of higher education (ex: 2 or 4-year college or university, or vocational school)
• Must be able to provide proof of disability including but not limited to physical conditions (ex: spinal cord injury, loss of limb, birth defects) or psychological conditions (ex: autism, post-traumatic stress)

How to Apply: Students can complete the application here by the May 1st deadline. Required materials include a copy of your official transcript, three letters of recommendation from non-family members, and a one-page essay that responds to the prompt provided.
