$2,000 Aspiring Literary Scholar Award for HBCU Students Due 5/15

Background: Go On Girl! Book Club (the nation’s largest reading group for women of color) invites students to write their way to a scholarship. Founded in 1990, the Go On Girl! Book Club is a spirited group of women who love a good read and engage in lively literary discussions once a month.

Eligibility: This scholarship contest is open to full-time freshman, sophomore, or junior HBCU students with a 2.5+ GPA. This scholarship is open to students of all genders.

How To Apply: Students can apply here by the May 15th deadline. To apply, submit a 500-1,000 word essay on one of the prompts provided plus an unofficial college transcript, your photo, and a short biographical sketch.
