Healy Foundation Scholarship for College Juniors or Seniors with Unexpected Financial Hardship Due 5/1

April 3, 2023

Background: The Healy Foundation seeks to step in and give under-resourced, high-performing college juniors and seniors the financial means to finish their education at a time when unexpected personal hardship (like parental unemployment or grave family illness) jeopardizes their academic aspirations. Scholarship amounts vary. The Healy Foundation awarded $25,000 across 10 students for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to full-time students entering junior or senior year at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States. Applicants must have a 3.0+ GPA and have existing financial need combined with unexpected hardship

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the May 1st deadline. Required materials include your unofficial transcript, your class schedule for the Fall 2023 semester, two letters of recommendation (see details at the application link), and three short essay questions. If you do not yet have your class schedule for Fall 2023 or have any other questions, contact Roisin Healy at apply@healyfoundation.org.
