$7,000 Wolf Foundation Scholarship for First-Gen Philadelphia 12th Graders Due 5/1

Background: The Benjamin and Fredora K. Wolf Memorial Foundation provides college scholarships to Philadelphia public high school graduates starting in their college freshmen year and renewable annually until graduation. Their focus is low-income, first-generation scholars. Scholarships for the 2023-24 school year will be in the amount of $1,750 each.

Eligibility: 
• Graduate of a School District of Philadelphia high school or charter high school
• Philadelphia city resident
• Neither parent/guardian attended college
• Took high school algebra and received a C or above
• Has unconditional acceptance to an accredited college or university as full-time student
• Expected Family Contribution (EFC) less than $1,000

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the May 1st deadline. Required materials include:
• Official high school transcript and official report card for first half of 12th grade
• Acceptance letter and financial aid award letter from your chosen college
•  Copy of your personal essay submitted to your chosen college
•  Name and email of non-relative who will write a recommendation letter (teacher, coach, counselor, community or clergy leader)
• Either full version of Student Aid Report from FAFSA (all pages of SAR obtainable here) or the EFC report from College Board calculator (obtainable here)
