$5,000 AABE Scholarship for BIPOC High School Seniors in STEM Due 3/10

Background: The mission of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is to provide direct input into the deliberations and developments of energy policies, regulations, emerging technologies, and environmental issues.

Award: AABE will award seven scholarships: six scholarships at $3,000 each and one scholarship at $5,000. The $5,000 award is a reoccurring scholarship for up to 4 years as long as the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA and still has an eligible major.

Eligibility:
• Unweighted academic average of B or better (3.0 on 4.0 scale)
• Graduating high school senior who intends to enroll next semester in an accredited college or university
• Pursuing a major in business, one of the physical sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics field
• Underrepresented minority (African Americans, Hispanic, or Native Americans)

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the March 10th deadline. The application takes approximately 35 minutes to complete.
