Penn Law Pre-College Summer Academy: Full Scholarships Available for Philadelphia High School Students

February 6, 2023

Incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders: experience The University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Carey Law School.

Overview: The Penn Carey Law Pre-College Academy (which will run from July 9th-29th) is a rigorous academic program that gives high school students from around the world the opportunity to experience law school at a world-class university. This three-week intensive academy provides you with a well-rounded introduction to the American legal system and how law is practiced in the United States.

Scholarships: The program will offer a limited number of scholarships to qualified students based on need, academic merit, and interest in studying law. A set of scholarships will be specifically awarded to School District of Philadelphia public or charter high school students.

These scholarships cover all program fees, housing, meals while on campus, and all activities and trips associated with the program. Scholarship applicants do not need to register and pay the fee associated with the Summer Discovery application until after the scholarship recipients are announced in April. Learn more about and apply for a scholarship here.

How to Apply: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and space is limited, so apply as early as possible. You can find the application under the “Admissions” section toward the bottom of the page here.
