MobilizeGreen: Paid Outdoor Conservation Program for Philly High School Students

In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, MobilizeGreen offers an Urban Conservation Crew Program at The John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum in Philadelphia, PA.

Schedule: The program is currently recruiting high school students interested in outdoor conservation work and education for Spring 2023. Spring crews meet on Saturdays from 9am-4pm from March 11th to June 10th. Students will earn $65 per 7-hour workday or service learning hours.

Program: Crew Members will work together in teams to complete conservation projects around the wildlife refuge, including improvements to hiking trails, wildlife habitat and visitor infrastructure. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in environmental education and outdoor recreation activities lead by crew leaders and Fish and Wildlife staff.

How to Apply: Students can apply here. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through the February 3rd deadline.
