$2,500 Growing up in the Family Restaurant Business Scholarship Due 6/15

Background: Growing up in the family restaurant business is a unique experience that can teach valuable skills, such as time management and flexibility. This experience can also come with drawbacks, such as the expectation to stay close to home and help with the business and/or the financial burden that higher education can place on a family in the restaurant industry. This scholarship aims to support students who were raised in the family restaurant business so they can afford to pursue all of their goals for the future.

Eligibility:
• High school senior or bachelor’s student
• BIPOC
• First-generation student
• Grew up in the family restaurant business

To apply, submit a 400-600 word response on the following prompt: How has your experience growing up in the family restaurant business shaped you into the person you are today? Additionally, please tell us about yourself and how you plan to make a positive impact using your experience and your education.
