$2,500 UNCF Scholarship for Black 2-Year College or Certificate Students Due 6/9
Background: Daughters of Charity Inc., in partnership with UNCF, created the Associates Scholars Empowerment Program to assist Black/African American students pursuing a certificate or an Associates degree. This year, the program is awarding 50 students with need-based scholarships of up to $2,500. The scholarship may be renewable for one additional year.
Preference will be given to students with a focus on trades or allied health professions, and formerly incarcerated individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Eligibility:
• must be a Black/African American student enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited U.S. based, two-year degree granting institution OR an accredited, UNCF approved, certificate granting program in the upcoming academic year
• must have a minimum 2.25 GPA or show completion of a GED
• must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form and have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their college or university
