Advanced College Experience: CCP Summer Courses for 9th-12th Graders

Overview: See what it’s like to be in college with The Community College of Philadelphia’s summer ACE (Advanced College Experience) program. ACE provides college-level courses for highly motivated students going into 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades, as well as students up to age 21 pursuing a high school equivalency credential. Philadelphia residency is not required, though students must have a 2.5+ GPA to enroll.

The ACE program offers a cross-section of intensive courses and includes a full semester of college-level course material over five weeks in July and August. Students who earn an “A,” “B” or “C” will receive college credit from Community College of Philadelphia. Students who earn lower than a “C” will receive a certificate of completion.

Examples of courses available: Psychology, Introduction to Music Technology, Survey of The Fashion Industry, Introduction to Video Game Development, Creative Writing, and Business Leadership.

Cost: The cost is $250 per course, excluding books. However, scholarships may be available. To learn more, register here for an ACE 2022 virtual information session which will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 5 p.m.
