Center for Black Educator Development: Paid Apprenticeships for HS/College Students

Background:

The Center for Black Educator Development is focused on making our nation’s corps of educators more diverse, more just, and more representative of America’s student body in the 2020s. A large part of their efforts are focused on offering meaningful educator-apprenticeship opportunities to bright, young Black and Brown college and high school students in their culturally responsive, affirming and literacy-focused academies.

Freedom School Literacy Academy (FSLA) Apprenticeship:

The Center for Black Educator Development is looking to assemble a team of motivated, energetic high school and college students with a deep desire to drive social change through a career in education.

Must be available to work between June 20-August 8. Paid training and coaching included. Virtual and in-person positions are available.

Rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors: apply here to become a Junior Servant Leader.

College students or school paraprofessionals: apply here to become a Servant Leader Apprentice.
