Up to $9,000 Herb it Forward Scholarship for Philadelphia-Area HS Seniors Due 3/1

Background: The scholarship is inspired by Herb Lotman, a self-made businessman whose life was dedicated to helping others and giving back. The ‘Herb it Forward’ Scholarship was created in his memory to educate those future leaders who will continue to pay it forward. The scholarship awards students who have an incredibly optimistic spirit, a desire to help others, and a passion for giving back to their communities.

Awards: 10 “First Place” recipients will receive a renewable award totaling $9,000 over four academic years. 10 “Second Place” recipients will receive a renewable award totaling $5,500 over four academic years. 10 “Third Place” recipients will receive a renewable award totaling $4,000 over four academic years.

Eligibility: Applicants must be 17-25 years old , demonstrate strong financial need, and live in Philadelphia or the Greater Philadelphia Area. Applicants must be planning to enter their first year in a college or vocational/technical school anywhere in the U.S. Fall 2022. View additional eligibility details here.
