TRIP: Free Lab-Based STEM Program for Philadelphia 9th-12th Graders

Program Overview: The Teen Research Internship Program (TRIP) is a FREE lab-based course for high school students who are motivated to explore their interests in science and medicine. The mission of the TRIP Initiative is to foster an enthusiasm for science by offering students a chance to do hypothesis-driven research and hands-on learning in a lab. Beyond the lab, students also receive one-on-one mentoring with Fox Chase faculty, learn team building and leadership skills, and become part of a family of driven and curious students.

Dates: During the summer, TRIP is offered at Temple University on Tuesdays and Thursdays in partnership with the Fox Chase Cancer Center. The program will run from July 5th to August 13th. See additional details on dates and times here.

Eligibility:
Students must be currently enrolled in grades 9-12. Rising freshman and graduating seniors are welcome to apply.
• Completion of at least one high school Biology or Chemistry course is preferred, but not required.
• Students must commit to attend ALL days of the program in either Session A or B as well as an ALL DAY symposium.
• Parents/Guardians must confirm and agree to the attendance policy.
