$10,000 Samuel A. Green Scholarship for Philadelphia HS Seniors Due 3/6

Background: This scholarship honors Firstrust Bank Founder, Samuel A. Green, who was a staunch believer in encouraging young people to pursue their education and fulfill their dreams. Scholars will receive a one-year award ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 in scholarship towards their first year of college. Those attending community colleges will receive awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. $180,000 in awards will be distributed in total.

Eligibility:
• graduating high school senior or GED recipient in the Greater Philadelphia or Lehigh Valley area who will be attending a 2 or 4-year college
• demonstrates leadership potential and a fierce commitment to making a substantial impact in their community
legal United States residents or citizens

How to Apply: Apply here by the March 6th deadline. To apply, students are asked to submit a 300-word or less response to the question: How you will use college education to make a substantial impact in your community? If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will be asked to submit a letter of recommendation that speaks to your demonstrated leadership.
