$10,000 Bridging the Dream Scholarship for HS Seniors Due 2/28

Background: Through the Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program, Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and The Sallie Mae Fund aim to promote diversity in higher education among minority students and others from historically underserved communities.

Award: Twenty five students will be selected to receive a scholarship up to $10,000 for the 2022-2023 academic school year.

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled as a high school senior
• Plan to be a full time student during the 2022-2023 academic year at an accredited post-secondary institution or continuous education program (including 2-year schools and vocational/technical certificate programs)
• Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
• Be Pell-Grant eligible
• Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident
• Be a diverse candidate (including but not limited to: gender, disability, race, or ethnicity)
• Belong to an underserved community
• Able to demonstrate leadership abilities
• Able to demonstrate good moral character in all aspects of your life, including personal, professional, educational, in your community, and online presence

How to Apply: Submit your application here by February 28th at 12pm EST. As part of the application, students are asked to create a video of up to two minutes that answers the following question: What are 3 short term goals (academic, financial, personal, professional, etc.) that are important for you to achieve and how will this scholarship help you bridge the gap to your goals?
