Up to $30,000 Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Due 1/12

Apply by January 12th to the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship. While exact award amounts vary, 60 JRF Scholars will receive college scholarships of up to $30,000 over four years and are financially sponsored to attend JRF’s annual, four-day “Mentoring and Leadership Conference“ in New York City and other events throughout the year. Additional scholarship awards include internship/job placement, hands-on mentoring services, and more.

Eligibility:
• Be a graduating, minority high school senior
• Be a United States citizen
• Present evidence of financial need
• Demonstrate a record of academic excellence
• Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service
• Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university
• Not possess a degree from, or be enrolled in, a 2 or 4–year college when applying
• Submit an official SAT and/or ACT test exam score from junior or senior year (JRF recognizes the challenges of taking standardized tests during the COVID-19 pandemic; applicants who do not have test scores to submit will not be disadvantaged in the selection process.)

Submission Materials:
Applicants must complete an online application requiring one letter of recommendation and four essays along with:
• Demographics
• High school information including an unofficial high school transcript
• College plans
• Test scores (AP, IB, PSAT, ACT, or SAT)
• Activities and distinctions
• Household information
