$1,000 Young Hispanic Leaders Scholarship Due 11/30

Apply by November 30th to the Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders, facilitated by the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute. The scholarship will award $1,000 to a student in a 4-year undergraduate institution or $500 for a 2-year undergraduate institution.

Eligibility:
• enrolled or accepted as a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited U.S. 4-year or 2-year institution
• demonstrates a verifiable need for financial support
• at least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry
• non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented)

How to Apply:
•  complete a 500-1,000 word self-description essay and a 500-1,000 word leadership essay (see essay prompts at the link above)
•  submit a resume that includes work experience, academic accomplishments, and other relevant information
•  submit your most updated, unofficial transcript
•  submit two letters of recommendation due December 15th (one from an academic source and one from a professional or community service setting)
