Our Mothers’ Kitchens Summer Workshop for Black Girls

Apply here for Our Mothers’ Kitchens Summer Workshop for Black Girls. The camp is free and runs from Saturday, August 7th to Monday, August 9th from 9am-4:30pm. The application closes once camp is filled, so register now!

The camp is open to young black girls, ages 12 – 17, interested in cooking and creative writing. It will take place at Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram Gardens.

Participants will:
–Learn about the importance of food in black history and culture
–Share food stories through creative writing activities
–Learn basic cooking skills, recipes and kitchen hacks
–Read the works of Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Walker and more
