$5k Asian American Journalists Association Scholarship, Due: 5/31
Background: The Indigenous Journalists Association (IJA) and the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) are offering help to future journalists! Two $5k scholarships are available for Indigenous peoples of the Pacific to support school, internships, or journalism training. Created in 2022 with support from The Omidyar Group, this funding helps lift up voices from Polynesian, Micronesian, and Melanesian communities in the U.S. and nearby islands.
Eligibility:
🌺 Must be Indigenous to the Pacific (Polynesian, Micronesian, or Melanesian)
🌍 Focused on journalism in the U.S. or U.S.-affiliated Pacific islands
