$1,500 Against The Grain Groundbreaker Scholarship for Asian American Students, Due: 5/31
Background: The 2025 Against The Grain Groundbreaker Scholarship supports Asian American students who are leading with heart, creativity, and vision. This $1,500 award honors college seniors and grad students who are making big changes in their communities and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps. If you’re working to uplift the Asian American community, this scholarship is for you.
Eligibility:
🧬 Must be at least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander
🗽 Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident
🏫 Must be a full-time high school senior or college student (vocational, 2-yr, or 4-yr program)
📚 Open to students of all majors
💡 Must show innovative leadership and vision
📈 Minimum 3.5 GPA (unweighted)
🚫 Immediate family of ATG Board members not eligible
Requirements:
🎥 Submit a video (YouTube or Vimeo) showcasing your leadership and vision
✨ Judged on authenticity, creativity, content, and execution
✍️ Finalists must sign a release form for their video to be featured
