Paid Environmental Science Summer Program for Philadelphia High School Students

April 17, 2023

Are you a high school student in Philadelphia interested in the health of our city? Become a watershed steward!

Trained as stewards of the creek, students gain real-world leadership experience, and engage with environmental and civic leaders in the area. Participating students are eligible to receive a $500 stipend. High schoolers who have already participated in the program are welcome to apply again and will serve as mentors.

The Program for Future Environmental Scientists and Stewards (ProFESS) empowers high school students through environmental science, stewardship, and advocacy to build eco-conservation leadership and justice. Led by LandHealth Institute, ProFESS offers interdisciplinary, immersive, at-the-source learning for students to extend their own curiosity and wonder about natural processes at work in their own neighborhoods and to build and sustain confidence to explore and protect nature.

Students can apply here. Apply by May 15, 2023 for priority consideration.
