$1,500 Scholarship for CCP Students Committed to Social Justice Due 4/1

Background: The AFT 2026 Faculty and Staff Memorial Scholarship Fund supports CCP students preparing for careers in social justice or transferring to other institutions to continue their studies in related fields. Students can use a Memorial Scholarship award to pay for textbooks, tuition, or basic living expenses. This year, the Memorial Scholarship Committee will award $7,500 in scholarships, with each award being at least $1,500.

Eligibility: The applicant must be a current CCP student who:
• has demonstrated a commitment to a social justice issue (see examples here)
• has earned at least 30 college credits by January 1, 2023
• holds a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
• plans to continue studying at CCP or elsewhere in the 2023-2024 academic year

How to Apply: Apply here by the April 1st deadline. Required materials include a current resume, a letter of recommendation from one of your professors, an unofficial copy of your CCP transcript, and a statement of purpose that responds to the prompt provided.
