
PAID UPenn Summer Program for Rising 10th-11th Graders: Apply by 4/14
Overview: The University of Pennsylvania’s Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program is designed to increase college access for first-generation, underrepresented students through an immersive, four-week summer college preparatory experience.
Admitted students are paired with one of five University of Pennsylvania Professional Schools based on their interests: Perelman School of Medicine; Nursing School; School of Engineering and Applied Sciences/IT; the Penn Carey School of Law; and the School of Dental Medicine.
Participants experience hands-on, experiential learning developed to offer exploration in various career choices. Participants are also exposed to SAT test preparation, wellness workshops, financial literacy, life skills, and college access workshops.
Details: The program is offered to rising 10th and 11th grade Philadelphia students with a 2.85+ GPA. It will take place in-person from July 10th through August 4th, Mondays through Fridays, 9am-4pm. All participants will receive a stipend of up to $1,000 upon their successful completion of the program.
How to Apply: Students can apply here by the April 14th deadline. The program accepts around 100 students each year.
