$10,000 Venus Morris Griffin Scholarship for Students with an Incarcerated Parent Due 2/15

Background: The $10,000 Venus Morris Griffin Scholarship was established to support deserving high school students with an incarcerated parent. Recipients of this scholarship are chosen by Venus and her children, and academics are not the focus of the selection process.

Eligibility:
• 
high school senior in the U.S.
has a biological parent that is currently incarcerated
students that are adopted and in foster care that meet all terms and conditions are encouraged to apply
must show proof of acceptance into either an institution of higher learning or a trades program by March 2023

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the February 15th deadline. Required materials include a 500-1,000 word essay in response to the prompt provided.
