26 DAR Scholarships Available for College and Graduate Students: Due 1/31

Background: The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will offer over twenty-six different scholarships for graduating high school seniors, and college, graduate, and medical students through their online application portal. DAR chapter sponsorship or membership is NOT required.

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the January 31st deadline using the online application portal under “Important Information.”

• The $5,000 Nellie Love Butcher Scholarship is awarded to music students pursuing an education in piano or voice.

• The renewable $4,000 Leo W. and Alberta V. Thomas Utz Scholarship is awarded to one student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in English and one student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Math.

• The $2,000 Mary Elizabeth Lockwood Beneventi MBA Scholarship is awarded to a student attending graduate for business administration.

• The $2,500 Caroline E. Holt Scholarship will be awarded to three students who are in financial need and who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.

• The $4,000 American Indian Scholarship will be awarded to “Native American college and technical students of any age, any tribe and in any state who have financial need.”

• The $2,000 Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship will be awarded to two students who are in financial need and have been accepted or are attending an accredited school of occupational or physical therapy (including art or music therapy).
