$12,000 Target Advancing Design Diversity Scholarship Due 10/12

Background: Administered by UNCF, the Target Advancing Design Diversity Scholarship supports Black/African American students who have an interest in pursuing a degree in Design. Six need-based scholarships of up to $3,000 each will be awarded. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years or until a degree is earned, whichever occurs first, if eligibility criteria continue to be met.

Eligibility:
• 2.5+ GPA
• African American/Black student in their freshman year at a 2 or 4-year college or university
• Majoring in design (see full list of eligible majors here)
• U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident
• Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need, as verified by their institution. Applicants are required to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form.

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the October 12th deadline. Required materials include a current academic transcript, a sample of your artwork, and a brief statement describing the concept of the artwork.
