$4,000 PWTC Scholarships For West Philly High School Seniors Due 5/20

Do you live or go to school in West Philly? Apply now for $4,000 awards. Three high school seniors will be chosen. Money can be used at winner’s discretion for tuition, books or cash.

Background: This scholarship was created to honor and support young people who demonstrate commitment to their community as they further their education beyond high school. Each year, the PWTC Community Scholarships commemorates the incredible story of how Park West Town Center beat the odds. Read more about the PWTC story here.

Park West Town Center is what it is today because of the collective work of individuals committed to a common cause. Advocacy, community organizing, and unwavering leadership led the way for transformation. This scholarship is intended for the next generation of community leaders – those who will stand up and fight for the causes they believe in and create true change in the world around them.

Eligibility:
Be a current high school senior on track to graduate in June 2022
• Be continuing your education beginning Fall 2022 (college, university, trade school or other)
• Currently live OR go to school in the ‘Target Area’ (see map here)
• Have demonstrated a commitment to improving your community (through involvement in school, home, faith center, neighborhood groups, or as an individual)

How to Apply: Students can apply here by the May 20th deadline with the following required materials:
Completed and signed application form (including typed short-answer questions)
Official School Transcript
Acceptance Letter from proposed institution of study
Two Letters of Recommendation (MUST be submitted directly by recommenders)
