Temple University Paid Summer STEM Program for HS Juniors: Apply by 3/4

Temple University’s College of Science and Technology will be offering a paid summer research program for high school juniors interested in STEM in the Philadelphia region. Applications are currently open until Friday, March 4, 2022. Participants will receive a stipend of $1,000 and transportation will be provided.

Program Overview: The Science Preparatory Research Opportunities for Underrepresented Teens (SPROUT) is a three-month summer research program that brings high school students into the labs at Temple University through an engaging series of workshops, events, and mentoring sessions. You can click here to view the previous projects conducted by the 2021 cohort.

Eligibility: To be eligible, students must be a high school junior and be legally able to work in the U.S. at the time of applying. Students should be interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field. Underrepresented minority and first-generation students are strongly encouraged to apply.
